Meredith's Toy Box offers thanks for donations benefitting Kid's Place
Meredith’s Toy Box, which benefits Kid’s Place, a Child Advocacy Center, thanks the community for participation and support.
Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church was able to present 255 Bravery Bears, 218 outfits for the bears, and a check for $3,209.74 to Kid’s Place on June 9.
"We also appreciate the donations of Barbies and hot wheels made by the Columbia Women’s Presbytery during their spring meeting. Thanks to their support we were also able to present a total of 187 Barbies and hot wheels," organizer at Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church Terrie Bradley said.
"Thanks to everyone who donated through Kid’s Place Amazon Wish List and those who made donations at our public drop-off locations. We appreciate our local business partners Betty’s Parkway Restaurant, Columbia Farm Supply and Planet Fitness for hosting collection boxes this year."
Kid’s Place serves children affected by child abuse.
Something as simple as a toy can bring comfort and hope for better days, Bradley said.
The funds raised will help to purchase items needed from children's wish lists.
"Again, we sincerely thank you for your support while helping us honor the memory of Meredith Campbell Bybee, beloved leader, teacher and member of Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church."
